They arrive late for work
They do not take pride in their appearance and show up for work looking like they just rolled out of bed
They constantly complain about not having money and are always borrowing money
They take too many breaks
Their personal life takes precedent over coming to work
They always look busy but get nothing completed
They make excuses for their lack of productivity
Their absenteeism becomes a pattern
Their cellphone is more important than the office phone or their work
Easily distracted

Is My Employee Being Honest?

Recently, I have been focusing on reasons to hire a Private Investigative Company to assist in finding the truth or finding information that would prove or disprove an allegation or an action. It’s difficult to ascertain if someone is being truthful or dishonest in their words or actions. They say actions speak louder than words. In the investigative world, if those actions lean towards dishonesty it is our job to obtain documentation (evidence) they exist. In this blog, my focus is the dishonesty of employees and the investigations we conducted that presented the truth.

Abusing FMLA, feigning injury and theft are reasons a company will call upon our services. We are hired to validate their claims. An employee can deny an allegation, but they cannot [...]

I Need to Hire a PI! What Can They Do for Me?

When I receive an inquiry, I know the person on the other end may have a lot of questions and most have never had to hire a Private Investigator. Therefore, I am prepared to provide them with the most educated and verified answers possible, and if for some reason I cannot answer a question, I then conduct research or contact one of my sources who can assist me. Life situations and circumstances are difficult enough and giving false information does not help the Client. I am asked if their situation is common or uncommon, asked how I would proceed, what will I do, how long will it take and if it is possible or not. I am upfront, honest and ethical and would never [...]

Do I Need to Hire a Private Investigator?

Life Happens…sometimes we oversee our path and other times we are influenced by choices made by others. When situations arise out of our control and cannot be handled from within, we reach out for help. International Investigators can be that source to help with life-changing matters.

10 Reasons You May NOT Need to Hire a Private Investigator

You are not Married or involved in a relationship
You are not being harassed or stalked
You have not engaged in a workplace relationship
You do not own a cell phone, computer or drive a car
You are not adopted and if you are you do not care to know your biological parents
You do not have any children, or you have not put a child up for [...]

What About Bob?

We live in a crazy world and these are wild times. Listen to the news. I may view things a bit differently than you, but at least twice a newscast, I think “they should have checked out their employees a bit more carefully.” Sure, nowadays, every company has their employees sign an authorization form for a background check, but is the information you are buying legitimate?  Is it verified?  Is it TRUE?  Information is everywhere, and we all have access to it.  I’m baffled by the amount of MISINFORMATION that is sold by the megabyte.

Let’s make an example out of Bob. Bob’s looking for a job.  His resume is to your liking, the education, the work history, the overseas humanitarian efforts, even his charitable [...]

It Felt Right until it Didn’t

When our Client engaged our services, he gave us some background on his son. Both he and his wife were very proud of their son’s choice of friends and extracurricular activities. Some might say he had a good head on his shoulders.

After graduating from college, he enrolled in a trade school. Just a few months after classes started, he brought home a date for a family dinner. His date appeared to be friendly, but something about her didn’t sit well with either of his parents.

Later in the month during a father/son outing, his son made an odd remark about his new girlfriend, she had a car, but didn’t drive, she talked about her friends, but he had yet to meet the man she always [...]

To Text or Not to Text

I have heard Client’s say they don’t answer calls from private numbers, they don’t answer calls from numbers unknown to them and they basically just do not answer their phone.  When asked why they have their phone they reply, to text, tweet, post and check Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Google search, listen to music, podcasts, and whatever else they do with their phone besides actually making and receiving phone calls.  Communication comes in many forms and for anyone younger than 40, audio (actually talking) is the least type of communication used.

I think to myself, well then voicemail should soon be obsolete and maybe we don’t need our ears or our mouths, but then how can girls take photos of themselves with puckered lips?  Now for [...]

D.I.V.O.R.C.E

Divorces can be nasty; Divorce Attorneys can be nastier and with good cause. In some cases, the respondent in a divorce proceeding didn’t even see a problem in the marriage, they thought they were happily married and were taken by surprise when they received the legal documents. Then there are situations when the divorce was long overdue but the thought of the fight was just too much to handle. Infidelity divorces are painful and are usually denied by the partner involved in a relationship outside of the boundaries of marriage. When there isn’t actual proof, just an intuition and you need to know the truth to decide to either end the marriage or forgive. And in some divorces, one partner is far savvier than [...]

Rectifying a Huge Back Child Support Issue

Marsha called us one morning stating she needed to hire a private investigator. Ralph, her ex-husband and irresponsible father of her four children, owed over $30,000 in back child support.   The court awarded her $75.00 per week support for each of her four children but that was 11 years ago.  Just about the same time Ralph disappeared.   Marsha worked two jobs but she did have the help of her family for emotional support.

Every year Marsha contacted her County Prosecutor’s office to see if they had located Ralph.   She was always told they “were still looking”.   They supposedly were coordinating with the Internal Revenue Service in case he had a tax return that could be garnished, but to no avail.   They had posted on several States’ [...]

7 Ways a Private Investigator can help your Law Firm Win More Cases and Grow Your Practice

A Private Investigative Company like International Investigators, All In Investigations, Inc. works with an Attorney to obtain the best results for their Clients.  With over 1.2 million attorneys in the US and 80,000 taking the bar exam every year, the need for assistance in providing the court with accurate information is extremely high.  We have many attorneys requesting our services on behalf of their Clients.  An attorney must have the facts and many times, hiring an Investigative Company is the most effective approach to obtain pertinent information to present to the court.

Consider the following common scenario: an attorney schedules a consultation with a prospective Client, but the Client’s story just doesn’t add up. Sometimes Clients forget some of the facts, but sometimes they are [...]
