A Song Trip Though Memory Lane: How to Know When You Need a Private Investigator

The long and winding road can lead us to locating a missing person or heir.  Verifying their identity prevents us from hearing, it’ ain’t me babe, so you know when you receive our results, you have a ticket to ride straight to court or close a trust, then you can lay back and drink a beer.

I heard it through the grapevine that some people run to the hills to avoid the process of service, even a smooth criminal can’t escape the real world.   We will locate them, serve them legal documents, create an affidavit of service and justice for all.  Not all locates require serving legal documents, some searches are for lost loves, not all people are found by chasing pavements or by a [...]

Why would you need your phone forensically extracted and analyzed?

Why would you need your phone forensically extracted and analyzed?

Why would you need your phone forensically extracted and analyzed?  Here are a few reasons to do so.

Example 1: Deletion of Personal Information -
A Client requested a “dump” of her cellphone. Dump meaning data extraction.  Even though she had backed up the phone to the cloud some photos were not there, and she could not access text messages that she had deleted in a moment of anger from her device. The messages contained attached photos and information required by her employer.

Example 2: Evidence Needed for Court -
An attorney requested to have his Client’s phone Cloned. Cloned meaning a Forensic Extraction of Data. He was in the pre-liminary stages of representing his Client in an Employment Sexual Harassment Case. His Client’s boss was in [...]

Investigations: Fact or Fiction

Our results are the truth: Is what we think we see or what we have heard or the way we feel fact or fiction? Investigations are conducted to uncover the truth. A Background Check to learn about an individual, Surveillance to observe activity, Polygraph or VSA for deception, Forensic Analysis for malware and extraction of data, Asset Search for hidden funds or net worth are conducted when finding the truth matters.

We want to know if our spouse, boyfriend, significant other is faithful, and if not, we want them to have the courage to be honest about their activities, but that isn’t always the case. How do we find the answers?
We want our children to be safe when we drop them off at [...]

How Can I Prove My Innocence?

Often someone is accused or alleged to have conducted an act, or been involved in an activity they state they had no part in, or they are blamed for words they did not say.  Many times, the actions and words of an individual can be believed, but what happens when there is doubt?  How can the truth be determined?  There are ways to obtain the facts.  Here are some suggestions that International Investigators utilize in obtaining the truth.

Polygraph Examination or a VSA (Voice Stress Analysis) to determine deception or non-deception. A Polygraph requires an individual to be hooked up to monitor three physical reactions, sweat, using electrodes attached to a finger, heart rate and blood pressure through an arm cuff and breathing through [...]

Life Happens…sometimes we oversee our path and other times we are influenced by choices made by others. When situations arise out of our control and cannot be handled from within, we reach out for help. International Investigators can be that source to help with life-changing matters.

Extraction of 45 Seconds of Time Recovered

We have, in the past, written blogs regarding Forensic Phone Data Extractions and cell phone data recovery for hundreds of cases.  There are requests relating to FCC Regulations, deleted text messages for Divorce and Custody Cases needed for Court, or accidentally deleting information, loss of contacts numbers, call histories, but none compared to the request we received today.  Our Client walked into our office and we were not quite prepared for her request.  It wasn’t because we weren’t capable, it was because this was the first time, we were asked to conduct an Extraction for an emotional need.  She told us her father had passed away almost five years ago and after his passing, she realized he had left a voicemail for her that [...]

A Matter of Minutes Set the Falsely Accused Free

We recently conducted a case that was a bit out of the ordinary.  We were not requested to conduct surveillances, research assets or verify someone’s background.  We were hired to assist an attorney in proving if his Client, James, who had previously conducted his case Pro Se, was guilty of aggravated assault and rape.  His Client, Our Client’s son, thought he could defend himself in the court of law to prove his innocence.  When he did not appear for a court date, he was arrested for contempt of court and from that point on remained in jail until the trial.  Of course, our Client, his father, immediately retained the services of an attorney, but the court date was approaching, so the Client also retained [...]

Ooops! I Deleted That!

Deletion of information!  Have you ever accidentally deleted a text message, or a string of messages or wanted to delete a certain text and you deleted the string of messages?  How about those photos you took and deleted them prior to downloading to a cloud or voicemail messages you saved for one reason or another and then deleted?

In all these instances, whether you accidentally or purposely made those deletions and then you needed them, and they were gone, we can retrieve it for you.

Sure, you could get a printout from your carrier that you sent and received a text message, or you made or received a call from a certain telephone number, but you cannot obtain the content of the text message, nor the [...]

Why Have Your Cell Phone Data Forensically Extracted?

There are many reasons an individual, attorney or a company would request an extraction from a device.

An accusation of cheating on your spouse or even worse you suspect your spouse of being unfaithful can likely be addressed by analyzing cellular user data. More than likely there is sufficient evidence on of your cellular devices to either give credibility for or against the accusation. Now, what if the smoking gun was a GPS location saved in a temporary folder destined to soon be deleted? Or what if the text messages between a cheating spouse and their fling have been deleted? Our digital forensics software easily carves out deleted data and GPS location data from phones, but not all phones keep deleted user data the same [...]

Ostriches Don’t Get a Fair Deal in a Divorce

For those of us who have been divorced, we understand the process and procedures.  We know that we either represent ourselves (which could create problems during and after the divorce) or we retain the services of a reputable law firm (which prevents the pro-se issues).  We enter into a marriage full of hope and dreams and unfortunately, we are only in control of half of that relationship.  We enter into a divorce with the expectation to right the wrongs and in many cases, there are activities that need to be investigated.  The he/said she/said of the relationship holds little weight in court.  Documented behavior and actions are required.  Not all divorces are complicated, but in relationships that end due to deceit, hiring an investigative [...]
