Garbage In…Garbage Out: Why Providing Accurate Information to Your Private Investigator Gets You The Results You Need

Before we begin a case, we conduct preliminary research to make sure the information provided by the Client is accurate.  Most often, the information is good, but there are times the Client may transpose a number, forget a birthday or have an approximate year of birth, may not have the Subject’s social security number or any other mitigating factor that would hinder our investigation and not produce the best results. If we are to locate an individual or find a missing heir, the information needed may not be available to our Client. Before conducting surveillance, we run the Subject through our Database(s) that are only accessible by licensed investigators for accuracy. People move, they buy new vehicles, they gain or lose weight, dye their [...]

Investigations: Fact or Fiction

Our results are the truth: Is what we think we see or what we have heard or the way we feel fact or fiction? Investigations are conducted to uncover the truth. A Background Check to learn about an individual, Surveillance to observe activity, Polygraph or VSA for deception, Forensic Analysis for malware and extraction of data, Asset Search for hidden funds or net worth are conducted when finding the truth matters.

We want to know if our spouse, boyfriend, significant other is faithful, and if not, we want them to have the courage to be honest about their activities, but that isn’t always the case. How do we find the answers?

The What, Why and How of Using A Private Investigator for Your Surveillance Needs

One of the best compliments a Client can give us is to use our services on other investigative needs and/or recommend us.  Repeat Clients know how we conduct our investigations, they are confident that we will obtain the results needed for their case. They also understand there are situations when the Subject of the investigation is not active, does not follow any kind of pattern or does not show up for scheduled appointments, which in return does not produce the expected results. For cases where there is no activity observed, we make sure to contact the Client and recommend terminating the surveillance for that particular day and reschedule so that the agreed upon hours and budget are not used during an inactive surveillance period.

How Can I Prove My Innocence?

Often someone is accused or alleged to have conducted an act, or been involved in an activity they state they had no part in, or they are blamed for words they did not say.  Many times, the actions and words of an individual can be believed, but what happens when there is doubt?  How can the truth be determined?  There are ways to obtain the facts.  Here are some suggestions that International Investigators utilize in obtaining the truth.

Polygraph Examination or a VSA (Voice Stress Analysis) to determine deception or non-deception. A Polygraph requires an individual to be hooked up to monitor three physical reactions, sweat, using electrodes attached to a finger, heart rate and blood pressure through an arm cuff and breathing through [...]

Marriage Infidelity Claim Leads to Unexpected GPS Tracking

Some of the cases we get at International Investigators can be pretty interesting – especially when it comes to suspected marital infidelity cases. Take for example, the case of the jealous, controlling husband who believed his wife was having an affair.

Bob* and Meredith* had only been married for a year. While they were dating, Bob had been very sweet and attentive toward Meredith. But after their marriage, Bob was becoming more overbearing. He not only controlled all of their finances with an iron fist, but whenever Meredith came home late from work, he would question where she had been and who she had been with.

When Meredith told her parents that Bob had accused her of having an extramarital affair with liaisons at a local [...]
