Hidden out of Sight, Viewed from Afar

It was just another abnormal day for Victoria.  She sat at home in her lounge chair and noticed that her smoke detector looked a bit strange.  She just ignored it at first, it was just a smoke detector and she had more than a strange smoke detector to ponder.  She had just broken up with her live in boyfriend of 5 years.  He had become a bit overbearing, demanding to know her every move, who she was with, who she talked to, even at times showing up at her place of employment.  It was just too much to deal with, and even though she cared deeply, she cared more for her emotional state of mind.

Again, she went back to that smoke detector and decided [...]

Haunted – Why a GP Hired Us to Recon Her Own Office

Cassie owned and operated a successful general practice in a nearby town. Her office staff was small with only a handful of long-term employees operating out of a former residential house in the historic part of town. Cassie’s practice had been at this location for 12 years and there had never been any out-of-the-ordinary activities, unless you count the patients’ occasional unusual medical conditions.

However, a few months ago, Cassie’s receptionist and another staff member starting making jokes about the office being haunted. They would complain that when they set objects down, such as a stapler or even personal objects like lip gloss, the item would be gone when they went back to use it later. The missing object would show back up again in [...]

When Creepy Stalker Notes Turn Out to be Something Else

Marti found the first anonymous note lying on top of paperwork on her desk when she came back from lunch break. It was hand printed on common lined paper that was folded in half. The printing was bold and slanted slightly to the left. To Marti, it looked like a man’s writing. The note said, “I’m watching you.” At the time, Marti dismissed it as a joke by a bored co-worker and threw it away.

A few days later, Marti found the second anonymous note on her car windshield when she was leaving work for the day. This note looked just like the first one but this time it said, “Pretty in pink.” She was wearing a pink blouse that day. Marti was upset and [...]

It Just Seemed Too Good: How An Employee Gained Unauthorized Access to HIPPA Records and Lost Her Job

It Just Seemed Too Good: How An Employee Gained Unauthorized Access to HIPPA Records and Lost Her Job

Do the best you can, be kind and courtesy, have good work product and treat clients, patients and co-workers with respect, work well with others and be on top of your game.  All these applied to our Client, Amanda’s Office Manager Sharon, she was a team player from the outside and yet, things just seemed too good.   That saying:  If it’s not broken, don’t fix it!  So Amanda disregarded signs of change.  She didn’t notice Sharon was beginning to be a few minutes late getting to work, the phone rang a couple more times than necessary, the once chipper and eager girl she hired was more lax and a bit distant, but her work was good, so “don’t fix it” applied until one day [...]

Is It Embezzlement if it’s a Spouse Who Steals From Your Company

Is It Embezzlement if it’s a Spouse Who Steals From Your Company

Money, Money, Money, does it make us a better person?  Does it get us through tough times?  Does it help us to help others?  Money can be a blessing and it can be a curse.  And when someone has money and someone doesn’t, then the scale of justice seems a little tilted, doesn’t it?

Mark was a prominent CEO of a rather large company.  He was kind and generous to all his employees.  He remembered his manager’s birthdays, anniversaries, their children’s names and even attended various celebrations among his staff.  He was a leader in his community, donated to various charities and well liked among his peers.  He was a stellar guy to everyone except his soon-to-be ex-wife.

The gifts and life style he afforded her [...]

Gaining Information in a Divorce Illegally

Apps regularly pop up in divorce cases, experts say. Over 80% of U.S. divorce attorneys say they’ve seen a rise in the number of cases using social networking, according to the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML)

Sometimes it’s not the social networking sites themselves, but how they are accessed to gain information.

With that said, let’s remember, there are legal apps that are helpful when you have an aging parent, a teenage child, or apps that allow family members to see every phone’s location.  These apps are helpful since everyone is aware they are installed on the phone.

But what if there is an app on your phone that does more than show your location?  What if the app allows someone else to see your text [...]

Bugged and Confused

Your words are repeated, your private communications are known, your strategy is exposed, your business has suffered and you just cannot say for sure how this was done.  It can happen and has happened to many private individuals and businesses.

There is information that needs to be shared between business partners, attorney and clients that need to remain in strictest confidence and yet, somehow somebody or a competitor knows exactly what is going on.

We first want to say “mole”, but we know the individuals involved would also experience a loss if the information was shared to the outside world, so how is the information being shared?

Cellular devices are common practice.  We use them for various types of communication.  Telephonically, emails, texts and we use them [...]

Knowing the Unknown is a Valuable Tool

It isn’t easy to learn the truth and sometimes the truth isn’t easy on us either.  International Investigators, clears the path of misconceptions, intuitions and gossip and focuses on facts.

Sometimes the facts do not change the situation, and then there are times the facts create clarity and we see through all the haze and come out of the situation we are currently in better prepared to fight or to just let go.  We all want to know the truth; we want to know the facts so we can move on.

There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t receive calls, an emails or a walk ins from someone lost in their life.  They cannot, by themselves, muddle through their situation without assistance from [...]

Steps Away From The Truth

Sometimes a divorce is simple when both parties agree to all the terms and division of property. We never hear about these divorces. When you add children into the situation, it can become a complicated process. Parents fight about custody, the visitation schedule and child support. And usually when children are involved the marriage is broken by infidelity. That is when the attorney reaches out to International Investigators, All In Investigations, Inc. for assistance. In these cases, there is a good chance that one of the partners is hiding much more than being unfaithful. It could be money; it could be pornography or other addictions.

Let’s take a step-by-step process to determine exactly what is happening in a typical complicated divorce with children when one [...]

I’d Like to Phone a Friend

Friends can be a neighbor, a kid you grew up with since grade school, a co-worker, a boss and your spouse. Nobody ever thinks that a private investigator could be a friend, but in many of our cases that we work, in the end, we have acted on the same level as a friendship. We put our Client’s first, we work on their behalf, we do what is right and we stay within the law to make sure anything we find can be used in the court of law. We don’t tell our Clients we are their friends, but we act upon the same basis.

by Friends.com. If you look in the dictionary it will tell you that the definition of friendship is a state of being [...]
